Nutrition is an important factor in one’s health and wellbeing. The dietary team at Forks Community Hospital is dedicated to preparing and providing nutritious meals for patients, guests, and our employees every day of the week.
From fresh eggs to a variety of breakfast favorites including hearty oatmeal, cream of wheat, breakfast sandwiches, and a little sweet treat every morning, we aim to satisfy morning appetites.
Our lunch and dinner menus change every week; however, we have favorites on certain days throughout the week. On Tuesdays, we typically serve Italian food, Wednesdays it’s Mexican fare, Thursdays are popular for hamburger day, especially on days when we can grill outdoors. Fridays you will find our famous homemade biscuits and gravy for breakfast and our own homemade clam chowder on the menu for lunch. There’s always a fresh salad bar including two types of soups and sandwich options.
Other options include a variety of snacks, fresh fruits and homemade desserts, sugar free desserts for diabetics, as well as beverages, including espresso.
All our menu items are very reasonably priced!
For our inpatients, we understand that you may have a taste for something not on the menu. Just ask your nurse to call the kitchen with your food preference and if we have the ingredients, consider it done!
