NUTRITION This site provides easily accessible government information on nutrition, healthy eating, and food safety. Providing accurate scientific information on nutrition and dietary guidance is critical to the public's ability to make the right choices in the effort to curb obesity and other food related diseases. United States National Library of Medicine This site provides access to the National Library of Medicine’s web resources, including Medline and other Health Information, Library and Database access and health announcements. ASSOCIATIONS AND SOCITIES Washington State Medical Association Promotes the art and science of medicine and serves to protect and improve the health of the public. Offers News and Legislative information. Provides information for Patients, Family, Friends, Survivors to learn about cancer, treatment options, treatment decision tools, clinical trials and coping. It also provides News, Features, statistics, prevention and early detection information. This site has a large amount of information on cancer - types, treatments, trials, coping and links to other cancer resources. HEALTH WEB SITES FOR WOMEN 4WOMEN The National Women's Health Information Center (NWHIC) is a service of the Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women's Health. The NWHIC Web site at 4woman.gov provides a gateway to women's health information resources developed by the Department of Health and Human Services, other Federal agencies, and private sector resources and covers over 800 topics. 4GIRLS The www.4girls.gov web site, developed by the Office on Women’s Health in the Department of Health and Human Services gives girls between the ages of 10 and 16 reliable, current health information. The site focuses on many health topics that respond to adolescent girls’ health concerns and motivates girls to choose healthy behaviors using positive, supportive and non-threatening messages.
